BigFur

In January of 2001, BigFur created a new sound for the Springfield music scene. Their first CD, Everything for Nothing, showcases the bands' creativity through the mesmerizing tones of "Superman" to the undeniable edge of "Stare", each song connects with explosive power. Their latest release ìììì ½ proves there is no end to BigFur's distinctiveness. This quality has allowed them to sustain their individuality through complex guitar riffs, rippin' bass lines and introspective lyrics. The diverse realms of the bands creativity have garnered write-ups in Sugar Buzz Magazine and the Illinois Entertainer. BigFur is currently under contract with the independent film "On The Road Trip", weaving their music throughout the fabric of the film to create a crescendo of emotion in order to help connect the film with its audience.

BigFur has acquired an impressive list of clubs played, including Mississippi Nights in St Louis, The Elbow Room in Chicago, the Canopy Club in Champaign, the Liquid Lyric Lounge in Madison and many more. BigFur is currently available for booking and willing to travel. BigFur is currently working on their 3rd CD, due out sometime this winter and are getting ready to hit the road for some Midwest dates.
